Walk In Sister's Shoes

The annual Walk in Sister’s Shoes (WISS) fundraiser began Jan. 31 and will run through March 7. Many events have been planned to encourage students to donate. All proceeds go to the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund. This fundraiser helps to provide students in financial need with the opportunity to attend a Catholic school in the Diocese of Wichita. Feb. 3-5, two front parking spots were raffled off. KAY Club sold Candy Grams Feb. 5-6. Connie’s Cookies are being sold during all lunches on Feb. 13. There will be a candy guessing game from Feb. 18-20. Feb. 24-27 will be Super Spirit Week. The Bills War is March 3-7 and is for HOTY points.

“I think this fundraiser is very unique because it’s going back to our parish schools, helping future Kapaun students, future Crusaders, be able to have the education that our students here get to have,” said counselor Anna Francka. “Because the point of this drive is to help students be able to attend Catholic schools regardless of their financial ability.”

Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences will be on Feb. 27 from 4-8 p.m. and Feb. 28 from 7:30-11:30 am. There will not be school on Feb. 28 due to conferences. 

ACT and PreACT

Testing will take place on Feb. 25. There will be a noon dismissal. Juniors will take the ACT from 7:50-11:30 a.m. Freshmen and sophomores will take the PreACT from 7:50-11 am. Seniors do not have school. There will be Virtus training that day in the auditorium.
